Don't have the cash at the moment , but am plenty curious about foiling ...
trying to follow some of the discussions, but they are voluminous !!
do know that people STRONGLY suggest reinforced fin boxes or boards made for foiling
how about these plates ? now available with the various fin boxes ...

windance seems to suggest or sell LP foils, but there must be other foils available with four bolt option ??
and is this sufficiently strong or does one just punch a hole in the bottom the board
if one is to invest in this concept , one would surely like some assurance about lack of potential damage ??
nose job on a board due to a catapult is one thing, but fin box issues are a little more serious, non ??

Pick your poison, if you hit something with the foil, you could either rip apart the fin box (plate or no plate), or rip apart the foil.
Boards and foils both cost close to the same, so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I guess the point would be that fun, just like freedom, isn't necessarily free. There are no guarantees.
Just don't get run over and killed by a health food truck while walking across the street to buy a foil.

I think far strongest would be the four bolt plate with two US boxes inserted.
After the boxes are inserted 'too deep' u can use the plate to mould the rebated square depression it sits in

guess i don't like to risk the $1000-$3000 investment on either side
so, we wait til refined or ??
