New to windfoiling. I have a fox severe predator 125. Im looking for advice on what foil to get? Budget around $1000. Windgenuity have some pretty insane deals on new old stock s26 and s27. I'd love something Intermediatte so I can grow into it. Any recommendations on what foils to get? Im 100 kg, sail around botany bay and Narrabeen lakes (flat water)

The Severne Redwing with the 1400 front foil is about as easy to learn on as anything I've tried and it's likely to be a good match. It's not going to go all that fast - probably 21kt is the upper limit - but if you're just starting out that's actually a good thing. The paint had a tendency to fall off (this might have been fixed) but even after it peels from the carbon it rides ok, just ugly. I don't own one but have ridden it and the 1800 (too big, even for my 105kg). Haven't tried the 1000 wing.

The Predator only has tuttle box, the naish gear not very compatible unless you get an old mast with tuttle adaptor and can find the very rare 95 fuselage for tuttle mount

If you were to consider Starboard, make sure you get a 2023 and later model.
There were issues with the mast before that.
I myself started with a starboard superflyer.
This is good to learn on, but the speed is limited.
If I had to choose again, I would go for the freeride.
This is faster and more playful.
It will be a bit more difficult to learn foiling on this than on the superflyer.
But in the end you will have more fun with it.

Make sure to fit the foil in your board before purchase.
starboard is known for size deviations.

WSS gave me some great advice as did JB at windgenuity.

Ive already got a naisch deep Tuttle connector so can potentially go with naish. Although there foils seem very focused on everything but wind winging!!

It seems the severe red wing or axis gear might be the go. The redwing probably better for the back pocket!

You have a FOX or your have a PREDATOR. The Fox is going to be hard to learn to foil on and probably break the finbox.

If Windgenuity still have their MFC gear, grab that. Last I saw was 1440 full carbon kit for under $800.

If there are 1075 Front Wings, and 225 Back Wings ($100 each), that will set you up for progression, although the mast is base plate, not Tuttle.

If you don't have the 95 DT fuselage to go with it then the front wing of you foil will be too far back. The distance between the front wing and the foil mast is greater on the DT fuse compared to the all the other Naish fuses which are designed for double tracks. This is because the deep Tuttle box is usually further back in the board compared to the double tracks.
I use Naish and have both types of fuselages.

I actually spoke to them last week about these but need that Tuttle! I reckon I'll just hold off until a severne redwing comes up.

If you are learning and tied to the idea of Tuttle, get an old Slingshot Infinity 76 setup. They are cheap as hell now and everybody learned on them. The fuse corrodes so make sure it was replaced OR buy a new one (cheap)

All that for $500-$800 is going to be way cheaper and way easier to find than specifically a Redwing setup

You mean the fuse breaks... I snapped three and the parts that remain are razor sharp. But yes, not much in the way of tutle foils on the market.

I thought due to corrosion.at bolt holes (?)

WTF would you go back there? Slingshot 76 has been endlessly promoted here, it is far from the best.
