Hello windsurfer!

For those who doesn’t know it yet, Levarius is a group of 5 mechanical engineering students from the University of Sherbrooke in Québec. The group is actually working on a prototype of hydrofoil windsurf. To help us in finding the needs for such product we would REALLY appreciate that you take a couple minutes of your time to answer our questionnaire.

1- For how many years have you been riding?

2- How many times do you ride per year?

3- Where do you usually ride? (Country, Area, Lake or ocean)

4- In what wind conditions do you ride?

5- What’s the best wind for going out?

6- What’s the average size of the waves that you encounter while windsurfing in the conditions answered in 5?

7- Are the waves a problem for you?

8- Try to evaluate the % of your board in contact with water while riding at full speed.

9- Have you ever tried windsurfing with a hydrofoil? If yes, how many times?

Awesome, and bizzarre at the same time!!!

I'm just starting to get my s#@t together on a regular w/surfer, let-alone one that 'hovers'.

I guess if it gets you further away from the 'Noahs', it can't be all that bad!

Interesting - although overtaken by standard style windsurfer at the end of the video.

Hydrofoils in surfing were originally played with to overcome the bumpy ride on the wave face due to wind and the fact that the surfboard was quite small. This is not really the case with a windsurfer.
