Thumbs Up

Because we knew we were coming to Baja and it's so much easier to transport wing gear I spent most of 2024 grooving the wing. I'm going home to windfoil in 2025. Reason 1 - the water start. Doing the kneeling start in those big rollers was pretty rough. Reason 2 - equipment maturity. Collectively we had two bladders go down and 4 wings sliced by the foil. I'm always a bit more worried to go far from home base with the wing. Reason 3 - sloggability. While this wasn't an issue in Baja, at home the wind can shut off pretty quickly and being able to have the mast hold up the sail is nice.

I'll have to figure out a way to get my gear down here next year, but I'm going home so to speak.
