Small waves and 12 knots - boring on a windsurfer, superfun on a foil
Simon killing it with his characteristic style
Slingshot Wizard 105, Infinity 76
iPhone 7 camera - the resolution is a bit naff.
Spent 20 mins looking at the conditions wondering if there was enough wind.
Turns out there was
Super fun session
Thanks for filming JJ
Simon
That breaking wave looks really fun wish my spot had that at 12kts! Super jealous.
What sail is Simon on, 5.9?
That looks so much fun.
What are the WA guys going to do with the new Wizards coming out given there is no 105? I have sold my 125 & placed an order for the 114.

Sounds like you have details on the new wizards. Please share.
Currently don't know much other no 105 (what I wanted) but 114 is a new size which I placed an order for. Hopefully more details come out soon...
Simon and I have ordered 114Ls. Frothing
I'll keep my Freestyle 87L, love that board.
Be sad to see my Wizard 105L go - epic board, works in 10-35 knots, still 100% functional after 2.5 years.
Here's my scaled comparison with the 105 - the 114L is a bit thicker.
Jesper should have all the details

I am loving that long mast track and all those foot strap options.
No vent plug on the new wizards? Tracks+Deep tuttle?
Same looking profile minus the big bottom cutouts. Must be a bit thicker like you said JJ. Definitely more compatible with almost any foil/wings now with twin track system. Especially with the foot strap options and super long mast track as thedoor mentioned.
I still like the white nose and graphics on the older wizard. Maybe it will grow on me after watching Simon and JJ downwinders
Do you know if the 114 has a deeper tuttle box to fit with my moses mast?
Hi Pat, from my info the new 2021 Wizards 130, 114 and 90L all comes with the track system only ( and not tuttle or deep tuttle box)
We are still to see the new ones her in Perth / Australia, but they are on the way :), and is pretty excited
As much as a lot of us love the 'simple' tuttle box system with 2 bolts, the the track system make more sense, as you have so much more room to adjust your foil position. In a way it is as practical as having a mast base track on top of the board ( where we all place to it our own personal trim)
There is also multiple foot strap positions to use now on the 2021 . So if you prefer the small wave style sails, then use the normal inside position.
If you like to use camber or bigger sails, then the outside position.
Also there is a foot strap position centered just in front of the back straps, as a lot of users using no back straps ( mostly on the bigger sizes). And the centered strap position makes fully sense if you get into carving downwind / riding waves or even small chop.
Note that as a added bonus then the Wizard 114 and 90 also have 2 center positions , so it can easily be used with Sling Wings ( or any wing). The boards are fully able to be used with Wings, if some want to do both options,,
The extra long mast track is another improvement on 2021
We love the EVA deck pad on the entire half of the board for 2 reasons. You will move your feets around a lot more ( compared to a windsurfing board), so it is just comfortable. Other good reason is when you climb onto your board, the EVA is very forgiving on your knees and bare skin etc, as they don't go over the anti slip. Believe me this is great, as even after a few years of foiling there is still a lot of climbing back onto the boards :)
By the way, if your catapult forward with the mast into the nose of the Wizard board. Then with the more 'flat deck nose shape' the board is less likely to break the nose. Well it will happen if you are unlucky, but a lot less than boards that has more nose scoop.
We will update a bit more, when we see them here soon
Cheers
Jesper
In fact, on second look, the board this dude is gybing looks different to the one on the beach
May be the 114
This looks like the 90L wizard.
I think the new SS boards will be a great two sport crossover board for windfoil and winging.
id be keen to know the dimensions? Length and width of all three models.

I am thinking board shapes will change quite a bit over the next 2 to 3 years to a point where all will come with a track system.

If a foil board has a topside mast track and plenty of footstrap options haven't you got all combinations relative to the foil covered without worrying about a bottom side mast track? I can't think of a good reason apart from maybe getting up in marginal winds or maybe so it can double as a wing board?
Find this in windsurf mag from UK would be nice to get some extra data, the 114l look already nice with similar length as the 105 but narrower what I was hopping for
The 90 litre looks really short -- around five feet? I wonder what the sail range is for this board? Just had a look at the dimensions -- 57.87 inches or about 4' 10". Wow -- really short, which should make for an interesting wind foil and wing foil board.
The foot strap options look really nice and should allow one to stand closer to the front of the board giving a more forward balance point in gusty conditions if needed.
I really like the track on the bottom for tuning the foil's balance point -- I have two wind foiling boards with the track.
I wonder if the actual board (114 litre) will actually have the long mast track and foot strap positions as shown in the picture posted by azymuth. The photos of some of these boards look like they have normal length mast tracks, etc.
Changes are happening with both wind foiling and wing foiling at an exponential rate compared to what transpired with windsurfing. This is a good thing but creates a quandary for those who want the latest and greatest -- like me. Pretty good times for those looking for used equipment.
So many boards, foils, wind wings, etc. and so little time!

Hi Samkyo
There is a bit more info on the 2021 Wizard 114L here below.
Ian K: For the foil tracks ( like you mentioned there is so many options on the deck, with the strap positions, long track etc).
But the fact is that being able to move the foil has a much bigger impact on the balance / lift and it will be a big plus.
I'm a big fan of keeping things simple, but the track makes perfect sense.
There will still be recommended positions ( using the Slingshot Hoverglide ), for using the system with 99, 84, 76 or 65cm Infinity front wings, and from there the fine tuning can be done, to suit your style, conditions, rigs, weight etc. if needed
Am I the only one a bit disappointed by the new Wizards? I currently have the Wizard 103L which for me at 80kgs is almost perfect. Really small and controllable but I can uphaul it and use it in light winds with a 6m.
My reservations for the new Wizards are:
- The smallest size is now 90L which means I could probably only use it on days when I can waterstart all the time. The next size up is a foot longer and way more volume than I need.
- The lack of tuttle box is a shame. I often use a Lokefoil LK1 with the Wizard 103 which gives a really light setup. Using an adapter is a hassle and it takes much longer to detach a track mounted foil than the two bolts of a tuttle box.
- The two smaller sizes are quite narrow. I can see how that would help carving and transitions but isn't that what the Freestyle 115L and 87L are all about? I suspect it will be more difficult to sail fast and powered up on boards that narrow. I've tried a few foil boards and a width or around 75 cm seems like a good compromise between speed and easy of carving.
The same with me.
The 114 would be the board i'd buy - if it had a DT Box.
Almost all non-SS Freeride/Freewave Windfoils have a DT-head only.
The new Boards only allow the use of SS-Foils, since these are the only? serious windfoils with platemounts masts.
(And who want's to ride these heavy alu clunker foils ?!)
Alex
All the major foil makers have a plate mount some just don't offer it for their windsurfing mast yet. Naish only have plate mount for their boards and have really stepped up their game with the 2020 mast and fuse, MFC will have a new windsurf foil with plate mount to fit the new Goya 105 and soon to be released Quatro crossover. Moses ect. will have to keep up or lose market share. I was ready to buy the SS 115 freestyle but this new 114 wizard at 66cm wide has me rethinking a bit also the board can be used as a wing board and would save someone $$$ if they just wanted to wing occasionally

Considering the rate that people are taking up winging. It makes sense to build that option into the design. The tracks are awesome and the only time I would see myself using a tuttle is if I couldn't retrofit my existing mast. When I switch wings I adjust the track position of the mast instead of needing to move my sail mast.
Also the tuttle gets in the way of the center back strap so I can see why they deleted it on the new wizards

Casey Hauser posted a video on instagram of his but it was a prototype sorry my bad. I am sure if they think the market is their it will go into production.
