Kind of. I was pointing way higher and making up ground. It seems like in rough water I am about as fast as most freeride windsurfers. The slalom guys kill me though, but I tend not to see them in the real rough stuff.

Let me guess the equipment you were using -- SS FS115 (could be the 87), Hot Sails Maui (about) 4.5 and the SS Apollo foil? Am I close?

Yep Freestyle 87, Hot sails Maui Superfreak Maui Edition 4.2 and SS Apollo 60
