Sunday, coldest day of the year, too much weed on the ocean to ride the bumps so headed to the river.
Super gusty 0-28 knots with showers, 12C water (cold for us) so pretty uninspiring - quite a few took a look and left.
Stood around for hours freezing, then the wind blew in a little steadier for 20 minutes - scored a few superfun flights joining the gusts that made it all worthwhile.
So stoked to be foiling

Epic !

What about Thomas and the drone flying masters. Do they equip the drone with some kind of floating device before going out over the water or are they hardcore and the drone is simply all lost in case sheit happens mid flight?

Another great video JJ showing why we have all gone foil mad!! looks like a lot of fun. It was the same again out there this morning of the river, a bit chilly but worth the early start.

No floatation aids. Not much difference flying over water or hard ground. If the drone goes down it's done either way.

Needs some regular safety checks, practice and a bit of pre-planning. Turn off all automated flight options and optical avoidance systems. Make sure you leave enough battery to get home and always have a plan B in case things go South and you need to land quickly.

JJ,
You, Perth conditions, and Thomas have done it again. Great skills by all.

Worthy of the great Australian "tall poppy" syndrome. => I think you may have touched down at 1.21ish, (must have been gusty).

Thanks for the inspiration.

Ahhhh....lowered my blood pressure just watching the wonderful sailing AND drone work. Although I did lose a drone flying that low over my mates--I did pucker a bit at times. I hope to be half that smooth someday, Azy. Thanks.

You've always had some fun and inspiring videos. I enjoy the different sights as you foil through that area. And I get the carving back and forth, that is fun! I need to do more of it! Thanks!

Starting to ride my wizard 105 in both straps more carving down wind with straps offset inboard and back ones loose as you recommended Azymuth. It's very aggressive, quick and really makes you shift your body weight which is obvious in the video. When I first got the wizard I thought the mast track was too far forward but it's actually in the right spot; riding in both straps you can move the mast base a bit further forward to keep the nose down since you generate lots of lift carving downwind. I still need my back foot out in strong wind to keep my 65kgs from foiling out. Much respect.

That infinity 65 looks
