Wondering what you guys think of using small front wings for higher boardspeeds.
For 15+ mph winds only, my Naish WS-1 covers light wind.
Specifically the 600 sq cm KS-2, which is the same wingspan and 1/2 the lifting, and drag area.
The mounting screws seem compatible in pictures.

Short answer - yes. As an example, the Starboard slalom wing is 550 and the smaller wing of the standard teamset (vs the 800). Going down a wing size is not only faster but often an easier way to "rig down" than changing sails.

I find this perf rather exceptional and encouraging because it seems that there is still a margin of speed and that we can surpass ourselves with gear at good value for money (what we had already noted during foils-oriented compiles course without big close).
The different data recorded with the mast and kite speed wing, let us think that there is still a little margin (at least 35nds) but to reach these speeds, it takes training and of course the commitment, not nagging it is clear but all in finesse, it is the secret of such speeds.
It is also very positive to see windfoil's max perfs which is similar to the kitefoil perfs configuration.

As well as small wings, is the technology out there to lean off the mast any further? Are they as skinny as you can go with carbon composites? I'd think that whatever the construction, engineering-wise they should taper down toward the fuselage? Extruded aluminium masts are a bit of a compromise in that respect. And I'd think small wings would be less inclined to snap masts with asymmetric loading. Speed masts to go with your speed wings! Any engineers to confirm that?
