I have been using the Slingshot hoverglide Infinity 76 on my naish microhover 130 and wizard 125 and103 for a couple of years.
I am so happy with the foil but I had a few problems during this time, two broken fuselges and broken bolts.
I am a heavy foiler 195 cm and 98 kg and I was thinking about buying a slingshot phantasm 730, its more or less the same foil but in a carbon construction, do you thing I will have problems with the new foil?, for me probably is the only reason to move to a much more expensive foil, a better construction and no more broken fuselages,

Using the 730 with 103w carbon mast definitely robust construction no problems.

Yeah the wide mast connection is a lot more robust than the slingshot two countersunk screw one.

I have had zero issues with the phantasm, and I jump this foil a lot (for winging @ 90kg) and have been
riding this foil for 18 months with logging hundreds of sessions on it.

The PFI730 is one of the best all round front wings! I have wind foiled it in calm intercoastal waters up to 4-5' down
the line ocean swells.

For light winds pair it with the PTM926 and you have a 2 front wing quiver that will cover 10 to 30 knots

See couple of videos attached that explain some more, you will not be disappointed in the phantasm it's an excellent foil.

I find the 730 slower to get foiling it needs more wind than the i 76 I have the ptm 928 and use it all the time from 12mph to 35mph wind
Its maybe 2mph slower than the 76 but supper easy on everything else

interesting, I had not felt a pick up speed difference but the top end speed goes to the PFI730 it feels better control when pushing it hard.

The i76 is a great foil but had a tendency to have too much lift at times especially with a tuttle box it behaved better when you could dial it down on twin tracks.

If you can, try out different brands and ask others in your area what they are using,

The PFI730 is an evolution of the i76 but things have moved on a lot and there are other better front wing options out there now. Most of the guys where I foil who originally moved from Hoverglide to Phantasm are now riding other brands.

I moved from Hoverglide to Phantasm as it's was the next step 18 months ago. Given that option today I doubt I'd chose Slingshot as there are better brands out there with more wing options, fuse options, stabiliser options and mast options.

Just do your research before pushing the button.

Yes, there are some really good foils out there for sure but your incorrect on the current catalog and choice of foils now.

Phantasm has multiple masts to choose from 72, 82, 92, 102 & wide boy mast versions (87, 103, 125)
3 fuselages
2 rear wing sizes

Front wings you have 13+ (not including easy series)
PTM 1001, 930, 825, 730 (HA)
G- series 1000, 900, 800, 700 (MA)
PTM926 (MA)
PTM684 (MA)
Infinity 928, 834, 730 (LA)

A friend was foiling a Quantum 85 wing on his SS gear. It looks like a higher AR version of the i76, but with the same surface areas.

Didn't notice any change in speed needed to get up on the 730 vs the I76. Definitely easier to keep the 730 under the water though.

AFS foils are build to last, and they come with a one piece mast/fuselage T-bar, really strong design, 100% carbon foil.

Unfortunately availability of Slingshot gear is a real issue. Lots of the gear CoreAS listed just isn't available in demo, on a shop floor or even on the Slingshot site in Australia. Thats why I suggested the OP take a good look at all options before they make a decision (depending where they live).

I remember when Aussies got all the Slingshot kit way before the U.S., that's a shame because the G-series foils are very fun to ride and like you said you can get shims now but I ride all my foils with no shims.

I am interested in the G series 800 wing but as of now I have not seen any reviews. Will a Sabfoil W799 wing and 399 Stab. mount on a Phantasm 872 Fuse?

Yes, that's what I meant - didn't know it was available now. Glad they've seen the light!

Interestingly, this page still says:

"No Shims and no extra parts = no problem. Shims are an inefficient way of altering your foil's performance and cause unnecessary drag."

I windfoil on a g800. Takes a little more to get going than the ptm926, but feels a little looser. Great for hard carves, can push real hard in the turns without it slowing down. The ptm926 can only carve so hard before it puts on the brakes. Definitely better than the pfi730 as a high wind option as it misses the boat anchor feel of that foil when pumping up while easily matching the loseness. Still keeping the ptm926 for light wind, but will be getting rid of the pfi730.

Thats basically the same feeling I got from winging. I use the ptm926 for 10-17 and the G800 for 14-22 winds. The G800 feels loose and great for cranking on swells.

Hopefully we will get some DTL wind foil conditions soon so I can see how the G800 handles that.
