Good wind past week and so plenty of time on water pushing the PTM926 through its paces for both wind and wing foil.

1. I did test the PTM926 with the short (winging fuse) for windfoiling on the 92cm mast. I moved the foil almost to the front of the tracks and it popped up very quick, I would say quicker than the long windfoiling fuse (to be expected). The negatives were the gybing as it felt really pitchy. The short fuse did not point upwind as well either. I will stay with the long fuse for wind foiling.

2. For winging the PTM926 then 100% go with the short fuse. the longer fuse does not pump the foil up, it feels super sticky.

Video is the PTM926, long fuse, 400 rear wing, 92cm standard mast. The speed out of turns and gybes is amazing! it points very well upwind and glides you through light wind holes with ease. I cannot seem to land a 360 on the PTM926 it has so much lift and kicks me off like a mule

Curious.. for wind foiling specifically... What conditions would you use the PTM 926 and PFI 730 ?. I'm guessing the 730 would turn sharper ?. Can you use both in similar wind ranges ?, or the the PTM more for light air ?.

For my weight 200lbs/90kg these are my preferred wind strengths for each front wing...
(I get asked often "IF" I had to choose one wing, which would it be? and honestly, I just cannot pick one wing, they are both fantastic in the wind strengths they were designed for).

Wind 8-16, I will use the PTM926, for me it takes off much quicker and less pumping than the PFI730, and its glides so well through the holes and is perfect for flatter water locations.

Wind 15-30, I will use the PFI730, it does carve with a lot of confidence, even in a really good 30+ puff it handles beautifully.
It turns very well in swell and waves.

I now take only 3 sail sizes in the car, 4, 4.5 & 5.0 because I know both the 926 and 730 will help cover whatever the wind strengths are for that day.

Wind foiling the phantasm I found was much quicker learning curve, winging is super sensitive to micro adjustments.

Thinking the 730 pretty much covers your local winds very nicely but yes the 926 can cover the lighter wind spread, very happy with both front wings.
