Super-impressed, does everything a freeride/surf foil should do and at a great price.
Controllable quick turns, nice carves, good speed, glides well and gets up on foil easily for its size.
Awesome quality components, fuse and mast are bulletproof and the connection is super-solid.
Easy adjustment of the rear wing.

I'm going to get one for chasing waves sketchy close to the reef at Dutchies to spare my Phantasm.

Another mid-aspect wing in the 1100-1400 range which I think is becoming the sweetspot for freeriding for a lot of us. Is that a rebadge or proprietary design? Looks a bit like the Zeeko which, imho, have always done good foils but their distribution is limited outside of France/Europe.

Ooh that is interesting, I have wondered about the Cruz setup, looks great.
How does it compare to SSi76 speed and carve wise ?

I gave the Simmer Foil a run after JJ yesterday.
I was similarly impressed, whole setup felt solid and secure with an ability to carve smoothly.
As for comparing it to the Infinity 76, it needs a touch more speed to take off but looser to carve (expected as it's 1100cm sq Vs 1500 for the SS)
I like all the connections use M8's makes it all feel bulletproof

It is possible because this foil is the same as the zeeko bullet (and exocet and probably Patrick as well) and there is a 920 called bullet 920 wich is a high aspect wing.
The wing you tried is called Carve in the zeeko range

Simmer was rebranding SAB for a while, it seems they'll go with whichever OEM offers them a good price but not very cutting edge.

Thanks mate good to know, certainly looks a solid setup. Front wing looks very much like the Zeeko carver wing. Looks user friendly in Bens video.

Cutting edge enough for Bastien to win the defi wing on the Patrik branded wings.
That's got to hurt the likes of axxis and Armstrong who seem like they are in a wing arms race to be beaten by a generic foil.
I've got the Patrik race foil and the Simmer for wingfoil. Good thing is I can use my Patrik Carbon mast with adaptor plate for winging when I get better at it.
I used the 1100 front wing yesterday for the first time in strong conditions and found it real easy to use even as a 95kg noob to winging.
If the Simmer carbon mast is as good as the Patrik basic carbon mast I would highly recommend it for windfoil. They are very stiff for a standard option.
Lastly, with worldwide supply problems still on going, it's good to be able to mix and match different branded products and know they will fit.

Really making me wonder: Simmer Cruz vs. Starboard SuperFlyer. I would like a more slippery freeride foil.

Does anyone have experience with the Zeeko Bullet carbon mast (95HM, 95 MJ40, 102 HM) vs Patrik, Exocet and Simmer? I don't see any feedback on the Zeeko Dual Box Mast system. Anyone? Would be interesting to mix and match some Zeeko race gear with Simmer Freeride for some.

Yes its all Zeeko bits..same as Patrik

Update - tested the Simmer Blackbird Freerace wing which connects to the standard Blackbird Cruz 85cm fuse.

Almost identical profile and section to the Phantasm 926 but a little smaller so it's a bit faster. Looks like they're made in the same factory.
Accelerates faster than any wing I've tried. Good low end too - I was getting up on foil in about 12 knots.
Turns and carves brilliantly. Epic glide thru lulls.

A budget Phantasm setup
Especially if you don't need a 103cm mast.

Tested with the smaller 280cm2 rear wing.

From previous threads you'll know how much so love my Phantasm 926, well like JJ's pointed out this seems to be a scaled down version. Loved it!!
Feels fast but also carves hard, would be Very happy with a Slingshot version to bolt onto my Phantasm kit

Not much, tried a few different stabilizers and can't say I notice much difference in min wind to get up on foil or top speed.

Having said that I do sometimes negative shim/flatten AOA the Phantasm stab (with a washer) - reduces lift which I think helps control flying down a wave face or when trying to crank speed.

Gumby move - had a seized M8, took the other screws out and spun the wing (upside down so I didn't notice the fuselage tip cutting it).

It worked - the screw loosened

Oh no! I had a stuck bolt on the slingshot mast to fuse joint and I ended up doing similar by cranking the fuse to unstick it but it just scraped the fuse some. The good thing is you only make that mistake once...

Thanks, I only have the 450 (thicker profile with up turned tips) and the 483 (higher aspect) stabilizers which are close to the same surface area but I noticed a big difference between the two.

For me the turned up tips were more forgiving/tracked in a corners but was not as loose. And the thicker profile helped with the low end take off but had more drag.

I have got to the point were I am liking higher aspect, for both Wing and Stabilizer as it seems looser and more efficient. I am finding even if the take off speed is higher with the higher aspect wing, if you can get on the foil it glides through the lulls better and you actually end up having better low end.

Update - tested the Simmer Blackbird Freerace wing with the longer 95cm fuselage.
It positions the front wing 4 cms further forward than the 85 fuse, so I mounted the foil as far back in the tracks as I could which worked well.

Super stable in pitch as you would expect, I could push it for speed a little easier, felt less likely to crash
Might help beginners-intermediates who are trying to nail consistent gybes.
Surprisingly it still carves great.

I prefer the shorter fuse - the 95 does feel a bit "locked in" but I reckon some peeps will like it.

After a long period of pretty average conditions. I finally got to test and fine tune my new Simmer foil set from Jesper.

I'm using the 1100cm wing with the 95cm fuselage. Really happy with the performance so far.
The whole package and connections feel very solid. I have both the 85cm and 95cm fuselage. The 95cm works better with my Starboard free foil 125lt / Tuttle box.

As JJ said the 95cm fuselage has a locked in feel and is pitch stable. It flys nicely through jibes which is great.

I am running the rear wing in the speed position which flattens the wing but still generates nice predictable lift. Once up and flying it glides nicely and I reckon you could push some nice speeds, I've managed a 2sec of 23knts from it so far.

Glad you're finding the longer fuse aids stability.

At some point have a look at the Simmer Blackbird Race 920 cm2.
Fastest accelerating wing I've tried and works in 12-35 knts.
Blew my mind carving off big ocean lumps yesterday - it's my favourite foil now I've adapted it to fit Phantasm

Works perfectly with the standard Phantasm 400 stab, no shimming needed - mounted it at the rear of the tracks as the center of lift is far forward.
