I was able to test the Redwing at Silvaplana with an Alien 120 and Foil Glide 5m and it is really nice.
Did not know that the mast was 90cm
I wonder if they bring some other wing sizes to the market.

Exact copy, you just have to look at the wing tips, oh hang on, that's the only similarity.

If you actually look at them side by side they are nothing alike, performance wise I wouldn't know, I've only used the Redwing.
The local Slingshot guys seem to go ok so you could assume they work well too.

Simplicity is what it's about though, no adjustments, bolt it together, plug it in & go

I tried one back in Feb & took off straight away, proto-type foil, board & sail, they all worked well.
Currently riding a production 1400 & waiting to try an 1800 which I believe is being tested ATM

The Severne guys have been constantly refining foils, boards & sails, putting in hours & hours of R&D, plenty of videos from Perth showing them in action

I stay away from aluminum since I am always in salt water, have a Streamlined extension that started to get pits in the aluminum next to the SS screws due to electrolsis, and I hosed it off with fresh water after every session.

Good looking foil, I like that there is a plate on the tuttle adaptor... seems like way too many issues with tuttle box fit, and a plate seems like the best solution in my mind for a guaranteed fit.

No clamor for me but there's no shortage of recs for the i84 and i99 here. Not knocking them - just find it interesting that Severne hasn't chased that part of the market. It may be that they do later on.

Cost is probably a big factor. As it's their first foil why would you spend money developing a whole range of wings if not many people buy the basic set up. The 1400 would probably be the go to size for most people and I'm sure it will sell well from what I saw of it. Also if the Severne guys get in to wing dings you might see bigger wings, shorter fuse and red umbrellas .

I guess 2000 is for wingydingy. I have had multiple foils with numerous different wing sizes. I must admit that I didn't like 2000cm2 with sail at all, but it's a great size for low wind wingydingy.

At 85kg I would say that for windfoiling 800 + 1200 to 1500 gives you a great quiver from 10 knots to 30 knots assuming you have three different sails sizes available.

I didn't say it is a COPY. It's few seasons newer...
I think SS approach to foiling (Low Aspect- easy wing i76, easy foil geometry, no adjustable stab) inspired SV to offer "no brain" - fun stuff. B

One very significant difference, S/S is an 8.8% foil section, Sev is 10.8%, so nothing like the same foil.

I think a 1000 is in the works for the redwing

I'm running mine with tracks in the board & plate mount.
Changing to Tuttle soon for quicker rigging

I'm a bit heavier so 8 knots you would be ok I reckon.
You still need some speed to get the water flow across the foil for lift.

AUS 808, 8-10 would be heaven. I currently have a NP pinky and its low end is with a 7.0 Turbo GT is really 15 knots, about 3 knots under Fox 105 with 7.0 weather.
There isn't a red wing in Vic yet and its tough handing over $1800 sight unseen on the first generation, but I do have great faith in Severne to produce a quality product. Option 2 would be the Fanatic Flow 1500, also sight unseen, who's first generation was about as stiff as a pool noodle.

Current fanatic flow is much improved build quality wise, one of the best out there..

I'm 75kg and my sails are 7m foilglide from 8kts, 4.7s1 from 12-14kts up. That's for the Fanatic Flow1000... At our weight I wouldn't bother with the 1250 or 1500.

If you have your mind set on a big wing I don't reckon the Severne will disappoint.
