HI all,

Still having big issues with rotation even when using Severne Apex masts. Have no spacers on the cams on my hg1 9.0 and have to karate kick the 2nd bottom cam to get it to rotate (once this goes #3 and #4 will rotate of their own accord).

Thinking I need to file the cams on the back edge where the spacer interfaces to effectively shorten them - and I can add spacers back in if needed later. Does anyone recall having to do the same ?

Have you tried loosening the battens a bit? It's okay to have a slight wrinkles. It was suggest to me for my HG2 and helped.

Don't loosen them too much as it's possible for the line loop to come off the batten end and then the end falls off into the water.

Same problem here, I've loosen the battens (works better), but lost too much power for light wind (works flawless with 15-25+ knots)

The North have a different bend characteristic than the Severne (soft top end of CC vs hard top end). If you are judging the sail and downhaul solely by the leech, the top will fall off sooner with the North/Duotone. Also, Severne masts aren't really SDM but a bit narrower. I know that North/Duotones are, too, but no experience to say if they are similar.
