Hello
thinking of switching to Moses/SAB 790 foil I've seen a few good deals on. I've found looking into it pretty confusing with the different names, numbers, compatibility. So two questions is the 790 pretty similar to the SS i76 wing, outdated? the 900 fuse seems to be the Windfoil fuse, is there an easy explanation what wings are compatible for Windfoil ? seems the Balz 730 is, others?
thank you

If you have not done so already you might want to check the Sailworks website which has some good charts on compatibility and performance of the SAB wings

Yes, the 790 is an almost carbon copy of the i76. Same planform and area. The overall best fuse for it is the 900, and the 450 stab works, too. If you needed to pick just one configuration, these three work well. Later you can change to other main wings, while the 450 stsab works for many wings.

Pay attention to the bolt size for the main wing and fuselage. The 790 is 6mm, while other newer big front wings are 8mm. The 900 fuselage comes in a 6mm or 8mm configuration for the front wing. All stabs are 6mm. Check the chart on the sailworks.com website.

I currently have an iQfoil 95 mast 115 fuse and Neil Pryde Glide 80 cm fuse and mast. Thinking of replacing the Glide foil

what size glide wing?

Something like the SAB 940-950 or 799 will be quicker and you won't lose that much lift vs say a 13. The Glide wings are real lifty but hit a speed wall pretty quickly (13-15. I haven't sailed the 11). The SAB 790 is an older shape and not quite as slippery as the newer mid-aspect shapes. The new carbon glide wings look interesting but I blew my budget in a different direction so not in the place to try them out.

The 790 is still great for freestyle if you have the skills but not fast.

950 is the opposite, a faster freeride character. 940 is my favorite, fast and good in maneuvers

Thanks for the reply's I have 13&17 glide wings now. The glide swift new wings I haven't seen available yet in the US. PatK I figured it's still a good foil and my freestyle skills are less than the dude in the video ??

Yeah mine too
But the 790 is still very nice to ride if you have a quite narrow board
