Simon and my thoughts after 4 sessions on the new Phantasm foil - light and strong wind sessions on both river and ocean.
You guessed it - we're super-stoked

Comparing the Phantasm with the HG Infinity 76;
Pros;Slightly more refined front wing shape, streamlined fuselage and slick mast profile means noticeably smoother flight and less drag.
Early lift is equivalent to the i76 (with good pumping technique) although surface area is smaller by 100cm2.
Top speed is closer to the Infinity 65 and it holds speed effortlessly.
Light weight (5.3kgs) is very apparent when carrying it around.
Foil mast, wing/fuse and mast/fuse connection stiffness feels super-solid underfoot, resulting in a more direct to foil feeling.
103cm mast - 13cm greater ride height negates breaching, makes for a more relaxing ride in ocean swells. Awesome flying high over the wave tops. Definitely feel you can push it more if that's your thing.
Simple, quick assembly with one size M6 Torx bolts.
Beautiful construction and finish, the carbon mast looks magic. Is it the stiffest?
Heaps of different size and performance front wings are available.
Simons reckons 360s are a doddle.
Cons;$$$
Beach starts are difficult - by the time you get deep enough you're pretty much water starting.
Rear wing bottom mounted means more care is required around rocks and reefs.
Who's it for?Anyone that likes chasing ultimate performance, or with heaps of sessions on the i76.
