you lucky bastard
... so I won't tell you that I am living on that island

45 min drive away, on the north shore.
But Bol is indeed some kind of (wind-)surfers/-foilers and kiters paradise!
Especially during summer: the local
Maestral wind gets reinforced by thermal and funnel effects (due to geographical conditions), and very often just a kilometer or mile west and east of
Zlatni Rat (= Golden Horn, the beach where the guys & girls in those videos above keep their material) there is (almost) no wind at all!
Same effect in Povlja (also on Island Brac) with
Bura (northern wind), where you can get wind waves up to mast high!
Another famous croatian spot is
Viganj on the Korcula peninsula.
CRO-401 Enrico Marotti's home spot is
Volosko-Preluk: they have
Tramontana almost every morning ... but you have to be an early bird, as it does nost last long into the day!
Yep,
Croatia ... a small country for a great holiday!
PS Croatia Tourist Board could reward me for all the promotion I am doing!
