Go see Jesper in O'Conner. I believe he has some demo foil gear in the shop. The foil brand he sells is Slingshot. The reviews in the German Surf Magazin speak very highly of it.

Also as someone else suggested, I am sure Reg I am would be pretty keen to get you onto a foil. Lastly Revolution Sports aka Severne up in Osborne Park sell foils... although I don't know if they have demo gear. But never hurts to pick up the phone and ask.

I know Revolution is taking orders next week for the new starboard foils. Could be worth going up to have a chat. The starboard stuff is great/ durable and upgradable :)
