I'm about to take the plunge and take up windsurf foiling my observation is in the early learning process the board gets quite a bashing. What is the best way to protect from beating up the nose on my new foil board? And recommendes be appreciated.

I'm going to experiment with those swimming pool noodles. Either cutting the noodle in half long ways and taping it to the upper rail of the board. Or possibly cut a slit in the noodle and fit the noodle into the rail of the board and tape it. They also sell deck protectors, but the adhesive leaves a nasty residue once the protector is removed from what the shops tell me.

A whole noodle secured with GoPro tether loops. Sand the spot on the board and use the supplied 3M sticky bases.
3 tethers at 9,12,3 o'clock, with the noodle threaded through loops.
I'll post when I do it.

Ideally, you would glue a hard plastic top layer to the foam/EVA. This will spread the load better when the rig hits the board. I'll be cutting up one of those EVA foam tiles when the time comes
