Hello.
Two weeks ago, in the middle of a gybe, the deep trutle adapter of a Neil Pryde FR 90 foil broke, with which I was very happy and had no incidents. Always rinsed, dried and disassembled.
I am trying to activate the warranty, but no response from Neil Pryde Europe through the dealer.
Has something similar happened to anyone?
Has Neil Pryde responded it?
The foil went to the bottom, so I have not been able to recover it. There is a depth of 20 to 30 meters, according to the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard. I have the exact coordinates.

Did the entire foil inc adapter sink or do you still have the adapter that shows the break?

Depending on what country you are in and how long ago you bought the foil you might be able to get a replacement. From memory in Germany it's not the customers responsibility to chase the manufacturer if you purchased through a licensed retailer. The contract is between you and the retailer not the you and the manufacturer. You might want to check with the consumer support agency in your country. Most European countries have one of those. They will be able to tell you what rights you have and what your chances are of getting a warranty claim honoured.

Of course if everything is gone it's a bit tricky to proof there was a fault with the product.

Whoa, great pics. Looks like there was a crack on the front where the adapter slid into the top of the mast and that fatigued until it let go.

From this pic it looks like the crack was hidden up just inside the tuttle head where it wouldn't be visible?

Hopefully they replace it for you. I'm not 100% on where the crack started. Looks like it could also be from sideways flex, but the light/angle/shadows are playing games on my eyes. If it was on the surface inside the tuttle head there is really no way to see/inspect that.

Edit: Or right by the joint mast/adapter. Looks like it fatigued through the front/bottom (port) side in the pic until it hit the screw hole and let go. Like you were turning right during a jibe.

Yes. It was on a right jibe. You can see in the gps track. I stopped the gps tracking to get coordinates, and it's the black circle in the middle.

I am unfamiliar with NP foils/connections but this was an area that was supplied to you and not a separable part:

The new Base System connectors are for the Neil Pryde Glide HP series foils. Available in 3 base types to address the proper connect type for your board. Wind foiling- Deep Tuttle, Power box. Wing Foiling - Surf Plate (for Pedestal Mount - Track box system), or Deep Tuttle (for combination Wing and Windfoiling mount box systems). These CNC reinforced base connections have Two deep titanium vertical tube connections to the mast for maximum strength, eliminating movement and offering perfect load transfer. Avoids vibration around the upper attachment area.

And from the break you can see it's right at the joint where the painted aluminum is hitting the Ti. Maybe there was a machining mark or a rough surface when they joined them, or there was damage to the Ti piece when they were joined. But if it was also damage on the AL side then you have AL touching TI with water joining them right where you can't see it.

Just letting you know I too broke the same part in 2020 on my NP Aluminium Foil mast
In my case I managed to retrieve the foil and just purchased the replacement head
My brake was from metal fatigue but because I had logged about 4000km of sailing on the mast I did not worry about contacting NP

Dang it, guys, you can prevent the loss of the entire foil from this kind of break if you use a leash. One of the shops in Hood River goes on about this all the time. I run a piece of kite line from the top of my foil mast to a footstrap. I never had a problem, but it's cheap and easy insurance.

Would be nice if the manufacturers built that capacity into the system, a little hole at the top of the mast to tie a rope onto or something similar would make it real easy, maybe even include a leash in the foil kit when you buy it. There would be no arguments over lost foils anymore.

Someone once made a tuttle fitting with another hole in the middle between the two bolts. You would attach a line to that center hole (maybe a barrel nut with the line going through the threads), then up through a small hole in the top of the inside tuttle fitting, then attach to a footstrap or something.
