The Blank is a Marko EPS 1.5lbs with a .635 cm basswood stringer. The stringer is to lock in the tuttle box in as I have a LOT of impacts with sea life here in the bay.

The lay up is one layer of 4 oz S Glass with 3 layers of 4.5 oz Hexcel Himax Biaxial 12k with extra patches where needed.
My goal was a very strong board that will not leave me stranded with a blown out box.
DNF is not a option for me.

Nice! Waterstart only? I wonder how small foil boards can get? I am on a 5' long board and don't miss the nose at all once up. (Although I think some nose volume helps pumping. Maybe it's just my pumping technique.)

The board isn't much difference then my primary rider which is 149cm and I love it.
The wind range is 18+knots which is very common where I sail and that's 85% days in the season of 5.5 months.
Yes it's a waterstart only board and I only waterstart anyways so no big deal there.
My pumping technique is to bounce my way up onto the wing so the chubby design works well for this.

The tuttle box is homemade I just used a started with a old tuttle fin head as a plug and added barrel nuts so I could bolt it down on a plate for glassing and then use the nuts to pull it out of the glass when done. There was a learning curve to get it to the standard I was looking for but I now have it down I have a lot of time in them. I stopped holding my breath for the Phantasm so for now I still use and love the Moses gear so it's still tuttle for me. I'll move over to track when see a need to butt for now Moses 111 is it for me.

On a side note I'm looking forward to seeing this wing from the new line up

How often do you get stuck not being able to waterstart?

I had a bit of a panic yesterday trying to uphaul my 87L freestyle in a big hole. All was good but there was a bit of worry I wouldn't be able to get back.

I think the volume is around 90-100L (I used the Shaper -X software to find it) It's free.

As for getting stuck their have been a couple of time close to shore at TI . As you know with the bay you just have to go with your gut it's a calculated risk.

I carry a VHF and PLB epirb for real emergencies (injuries) but have been blessed as I have not had to use them.

TheDoor__ this is why I didn't go out on Sat. as the wind was looking very unpredictable up/down. Back in Dec. I had to swim about 1 km at 3rd ave lucky for me it was ebbing and it was almost a hour to get back to lower launch. Spring is almost here I can wait.

As for not using tracks I've been riding the Moses 111 for the last two seasons and love it so why change it. I look at it as one more thing to fiddle with and that will slow you down at getting on the water fast. I'm sure once I see the new SS phantasm I'll start looking at transitioning my program over to tracks. As I'm not in the SS crew/club It's only a guess as to what and when it will be offered(They love to hype it up in the pre-release marketing material) .

I love the Moses Gear the quality is a very high you can tell they have pride in their craftsmanship. It also rides very well and is strong as I have put it through its paces the last couple of year. No Breakdowns. So again why change.

Yeah, sat probably wasn't the best day to try the 87 for the first time. Much more predictable a bit later in the season
