Although I prefer to have enough wind to water-start easily, and some days have required some up-hauling, lighter wind sure makes for smooth waves.

Makes me want to book a trip.

It is the best Door, just can't figure out why more windsurfing wave folks don't give it a try especially in waves too small to ride on a windsurfer. As the foil makes the wave/swell seem twice as big. Mind you a few days the waves were plenty big, some logo high, but not enough wind to windsurf.
I was on the 940/425 most of the time and the 945 on some of the smaller waves or light wind days.

I visit in the spring and fall as there is usually plenty of wind and there is usually a north swell between Oct and March. I will say the tides are better in the fall.
The winter offers bigger waves and lighter winds while the summer has stronger winds (great offshore downwinders) but no north swell.
Of course its weather so nothing is guaranteed, this fall the wind has been on the lighter side but in three weeks I could not foil only 3 days. My big stuff is 1300cm2 foil and 5.4m and I am 85 kg good for 10 mph with gust to get going.
Unfortunately there is not much to rent for WWF stuff its just not as sexy as winging. Especially with guys like the Hess doing it
