Cool....I imagine it has electronic height sensors and servo motors to change flap angles.

Boeing used to make a hydrofoil like the one in the video. It was the biggest application of welded aluminum I ever saw. I don't know if they are still in service.

When a hull like that breaches, it just comes down and keeps going. No biggie, but it does slow down.

Even the America's Cup boats breach.

very cool, must be very energy efficient, would like to see regular monohull sail boats have a foil, would be so efficient. The Aussies or Kiwis had a winged keel in one Americas cup, which is a foil but it was not designed to lift hull out of water.

I took it a few years ago before lockdown. It said Boeing on the hull which surprised me at the time.
