Nothing worse than the text group pinging off messages "Its cranking" all morning long whilst at work but managed to catch 45 mins before the tide flattened off the waves. It's a hike to get board and rig just to the water but anytime you see swell you just got to do it

Jetty Park, Cape Canaveral, FL
Wind 20+ slightly onshore
4.0 sail, wizard 130, phantasm 730

I agree...not sure I can get to the Aussies WWF level, their local conditions are off the charts... they have been perfecting WWF for quite a while now

Not a bad start for 2022 JJ

There was some footage that was really good waves, but the camera was stuck into zoom overload, and it was all blurry, aargh!

Hey Dean, who films you from the beach, and what camera and settings do they use?

@2keen, the tide was turning fast and the wind was brisk so I was running for 2 reasons

@Segler, Thats my temporary camera assistant (My 77 year old Mother is here from England) it has been quite the process teaching her how to use the camera, I have been told off a few times as I don't have much patience, haha.

The camera is a Sony A6500 with a 18-135 lens, I did have a 400 telescopic lens but my wife had it attached to the tripod and then our 110lb black lab wrapped his leash around the camera leg and took off to chase birds and the $1000 lens went with him, I'm still saving to buy a new one

Well, it looks like your mother is doing a great job. Better not let her go back home. Yes, dogs are man's best friend---most of the time.
