Testing the Max Lens mod on my standard GoPro10 - it levels the horizon line in SuperView (the camera was actually pointing all over the place).
Included a few longer runs to show how 40 inch harness lines work for me - max speed upwind 18.4 knots.
Only a light 15 knot early season seabreeze but still superfun trying to carve up the little windswells

Duotone with Velcro attachment so you don't have to take your boom apart. That's nice. In 30 years I always try adjustables and go back to fixed. As good or better than any I suppose.

5.9 in 15 knts of Wind? That Is quite a lot of sail with a 1000 ish foil, I am 73 kg and would be on a 4.7 probably on 5.7 with the 800 Wing were you mainly going upwind/ Deep downwind or there' s something I am missing....?

The 926 is 1233cm2, no problems with a 5.9 up to 20 knots.
25 knot gusts need a fair bit of feathering upwind to survive and downwind I have to hold the clew in super-tight and go fast as possible riding the swells, to lessen the wind pressure in the sail.
Not ideal but it works if I get caught out

I mostly only go upwind and downwind.

I use a Simmer Enduro 6.5m if it's super light. Works fine.
I can uphaul it but 99% of the time manage to waterstart as long as I'm getting 10-12 knot gusts.

Going from 5.9 to 6.5 has diminishing returns in my opinion. It will get you through the lulls a bit better but it won't really get you going much earlier in marginal conditions. What you gain in sail size you will loose in drag. Different if you go from 5.9 to 8.5 to 9sqm. or say from 5.9 wave sail to 6.5 cambered foil sail.

As a matter of fact the lighter the wind the bigger need to be the increase in sail size to have effect, this simply because lift goes with the square of wind speed while is proportional with sail surface. with my 6.7 I start foiling in 10ish knots and I can go directly to 4.7 when it gets to 15 ish knots of wind, the more the wind increases the more the gap in sail size get narrower, this is reversed when doing the opposite, so you are right.
My question was aimed to understand what is handable sail size for the 114 in order to define the range for a board I am planning to build and the 6.7 is the bigger sail I would like to use with smaller wing (800 cm2) in sarch for higher speed in lighter condition, instead of going with 5.7 with the bigger foil (1000 cm2). My conclusion is that a board 70-72 cm wide and 125 ish liters should be enough to cover that end range, I am lighter than azymuth as well so...

FWIW,
61 Kg on a 114 wizard,730 phantasm. 5.2 is my biggest sail. Get up in 12-13ish knots. Smallest is 3.7 (needs to be 3.O ish though) for 25+knots. Could probably go to 6.0, but not interasted if the wind is that light.

Thank you for your feedback Wsurf Austin, I think weight plays a role too in handling sail size, as well as skills obviously. Skill wise I think I am behind many in this forum so cannot count too much on that :-) will see how it goes, designis getting to the end...now need to start building it!
