After hitting a turtle with tip of wing and splitting about 1.5cm off the bottom and top just hanging on had it repaired professionally then hitting another one a few weeks later just before a good forecast. A mate and I rushed a repair with too much hardener. This repair deteriorated over a few months to the point that it split open last session.
After gathering supplies and good advice from local board manufacturer thought to have a go at my first solo repair.
Super stoked on the result so I thought I'd share

for me its adapting a carbon mast to my fuse, got one cheap from an old kitefoil kit.

What'd you use Mr Keen? I've a slight fray on the tip of a carbon foil. Any detailed description on how to proceed would be welcome. My foil is pretty new so I don't want to make a mess of it.

Top of foil tip was in good condition, taped it with 1cm over hang. Removed all the damaged material and roughed up 5cm of surface to ensure repair held.
Cut carbon cloth in shapes required to lay up to required shape. Then cut carbon threads to make paste using 5 to 1 resin to fill major missing material.
Then wetted out 2 layers of carbon cut earlier with same resin.
Where are you located? Have enough carbon and resin to do multiple repairs if you need.

The hard part is removing enough material before laminating it, so as to not make it thicker after all your work ... and that's
very very hard.
first ascertain if it even needs fibre - pics?

Yes made this mistake on previous attempt.
Final repair took a calculated approach with this and both wing tips match

Yup. Yours needed it, but 'slight fray' sounds like resin and milled fibre to fill those bits and then a sand back.

Yes, this does sound like mine. It's just beginning to fray.
