I was recently asked how much I like the Phantom IRIS RF foil racing sails (a lot) and how I get them to rotate.
I find the Phantoms and also my Loft Skyblades (I've got the green 7 but had 1st gen 8 & 10 in orange) super stable and so can handle a big range of winds. I once went from 9.0 phantom to a 5.5 "free race" slalom sail and preferred the 9!

But they are "Race" not "free race" sails so they rig tight against the mast to provide the stability.

I also use Medium Diamater Masts (MDM) from Slake (aussie made) which helps a little.

When you flip the rig do it with confidence and catch the new boom with the back hand as far back as possible. Maybe sheet in about 60-80%. And Squat down a little and pull the back hand on in one move trying to NOT sheet out as the power comes in.

As the sail rotates and catches the new wind from the clew end first it billows out, releasing cam pressure and helping the cams to rotate as long as you hold the boom pressure on.
A similar effect happens when you tack but it is less extreme.

I had problems rotating the lower cam on my Phantom Iris X mk2 6.0 due to wear on the cam insert. The insert touched the mast.problem was fixed with a Loftsails MCI (Metallic Cam Interface) and a thin spacer.

Rotation is again smooth and easy.

seems to be a generel issue on the Iris X and Consequently I have done the same on my other Iris X mk2 sails.
