More or less 2nd season foiling. Sprain ankle most of last season made things interesting. For safety and quality of wind we always launch on the onshore side of the Bay. Bay runs ~12 x 6nm at the longest and widest point. Conditions are always a bit choppy. Yesterday was a mellow day. NE, which means full fetch of the Bay results in chop even when F3 conditions. But there is a lighthouse at the end of a 1.5 nm manmade barrier that use to protect the now long gone ore and timber docks at the foot of the Bay. Did a few crossing including one last one to the lee side of barrier. 10-20cm ripples vs. the 30-70cm chop on the windward side of the barrier.

First time foiling on flat water. Sweet and effortless. But still a foil jibe less doofus on from a port tack. Have made only ONE and barely. If I had anything shorter than the +90cm mast it would have been an almost foiling jibe. Being a dolt. Should have headed to the lee of breaker right away and practiced jibing. But no. Last crossing of day.

In the Fall and Winter we get a lot of winds from the North and that makes for flat water due to a tree line, hopefully will finally nail the foiling gybe this Fall/Winter.
