830mm was the max width guess I came up with for tight carves, banking into a swell to gybe and quick direction changes on a wave face.
It's worked out super-well, a big improvement over the wing at 926mm. I wouldn't want it any wider. Rides similar now to the Balz Sabfoil 799.

Have you cranked any ocean downwinders with the 1000 - I'd be stoked to see vid of the wing in action.

Unfortunately no vids, we don't have the same size foil crew east coast as you guys do over west, definitely jealous of that.

Will see how we go this season, but I've got a new foil waiting for me to escape covid lockdown, will see if the fanatic stays in the quiver

On page 2 Nikita is jibing on the Flow 1000. Maybe not as hard as you wish to see, but take another look maybe?

I got a Flow 1000 wing a few weeks ago. I was using the 1250 wing. After about 10 sessions on the 1000 my conclusions are: the 1000 is much faster, glides better through jibes, is smoother in upwind sailing, is a bit harder to get on the plane in light winds, and is not quite as good at carving in downwind swells. In downwinding the 1250 allows tight slow turns. I think with practice I will be able to come very close to the same slower turns on the 1000, although the 1000's higher speed is the big winner and compensates for any of the minor downsides. I will probably sell the 1250 because I doubt I will use it again.

Di any of you guys have ant qualit? issue with the fanatic foil? I still do not understand of fuselage and mast should come anodized or painted, I've seen both...and a friend of mine had water entering into the mast that should supposely be sealed....

I've had zero issues. Long story but I have 4 masts, all anodized and no issues.

The 2022 kit for fanatica flow has been alteady disclosed: lighter, less drag and compatibile with the other foil Lines by Fanatic. Does anybody know when this Will be made commercially available?

Swoosh, I checked the 2022 version of the kit, and they said they removed a chop of fuselage lenght between the front wing and the mast to reduce weight, I don't know if they have done so on the windfoil kit (900 fuselage) as well, but since other brands are year over year moving forward the wing (SB with the +, ++ fuselages), I question this choice vs overall performance. Do you know something about?

I am not concerned about the overall lenght but about the position of the mast on the fuse closer to front Wing vs previous 2020 version.

Given that the position of foot straps inserts and foil mast box and tracks are unchanged on the Stingray boards, then it's highly likely the distance from mast to front foil connection on the 90cm fuse is also unchanged.

I've had 9 sessions on my Flow 1000 paired with an Alien 125. I previously used (25 sessions) and still have the Flow 1500 front wing. I use the 1500 mainly with a Severne Glide 7.0 and the 1000 with Severne Gator 6 and Duotone Supersession 5. At 88kgs, my threshold pump onto wing wind speeds and max wind speeds for each combo are:
- Flow 1500 & 7.0: 8 kts to 13 kts
- Flow 1000 & 6.0: 11 kts to 17 kts
- Flow 1000 & 5.0: 13 kts to 20 kts

The characteristics of the two foils are similar, with the higher aspect 1000 having a higher stall speed but better glide and is slightly faster. My max 2 sec speed for the 1500 is 19kts and for the 1000 is 20kts. Gybing and carving are similar. I prefer the 1000 because of the glide. Both foils work well with the Alien, with my foot straps in the most forward position and sail mast base in the furthest back position.

I can't compare to other foils, I've only used the Flow, but my observations are very similar to those from Swoosh and Nikita. The package is very solid and stiff. The connections all work. All the hardware is A4 stainless. I use Tefgel on all threads. The foil has great pitch and lateral stability and has been great to learn on. I'm flying, with minor touch downs, through the majority of my gybes. It's easy to pump onto the wing. I've also just started to carve on wind swell. The foil responds well.

I bought a Flow 1000 mid summer and replaced my 1250. I never used the 1250 again. The 1000 was consistently faster and had better glide though gibes. It was a bit harder to fly in light winds but not worth the trouble to switch wings. It carved a bit differently in swells but overall the 1000 is a great all round wing.

Bought one last year and also bought a backpack to match it. With this backpack, my dream of traveling anywhere with my board is now possible.

Hello All, I got the Fanatic 1000 2022 foil, rode it tw3ice and got impressed from the glide, much better and less druggy than the Infinity 76 slingshot...could not test maneuverability though...too gusty of wind.
I generally use a 130 lt board, but I am looking for something more handy for high winds, has nayone tested the slingshot wizard 114 with such foil or similar Higher aspect foils vs the infinity 76?
What could be the wind spectrum I may cover with the combo fanatic 1000 and wizard 114 (I don't ride swell for the most), have any of you an idea?

I got the Alien 115L, which is pretty similar dims to the Wizard 114L. I was going from <10kts to 25kts+ (sail sizes from 7m Foilglide down to 3.3m wave sail). I prefer smaller sail sizes for more manoeuvre orientated foiling, so I swap to 4m when its solid 15kts.

To me the Flow1000 is very manageable even in really windy conditions as it foils very happily with board speed between 16-22kts, regardless of wind speed. If you are happy free-riding then in my opinion you only need to change front wing sizes once you want to go faster.

So far I was using a board similar to the ones you are just 10-15 ltr more, but volume evenly distributed as the ones you mentioned are.
The SS wizard has a totally different volume distribution, everything is more back... a lot. this implies that once in the air you maintain flight easily and you have less swing weight (I was reported..never tested), though I am afraind before getting into the air the situation is totally different: uphauling is much more difficult, and you cannot use sails bigger than a 6.0 unless you are a ..wizard because there is no nose to support the weight and pull from the sail before taking off. I am afraid that despite the quoted volume, this board is an high wind option, from 13 knt over and no more than 5.7 sail for being comfy. They also say the SS wizard is narrow; may it be if we compare max width, but the OFO is impressive, much larger than my actual board, from pictures I hestimate 60 cm at least, mine so far is 48 cm, this means that volume on front is veeery low, I wonder if in a real foiling situation with sail typically smaller than water start size you could manage to uphaul if sea state is not totally flat. My worries are obviously associated with my foiling abilties; I am a proficient windsurfer, but still learning to jibe properly on the foil. though I sail relaxed in any condiiton at the moment. Balz muller can obviously can sail the wizard 114 in 5 knots of wind with a 2.5 sqm sail at 20 knt of speed :-), rules do not apply the same for every body.

It sounds to me like you are really asking about the board, not the foil. There are plenty of people on the forum that use the Wizard 114 and there are videos showing uphaul technique on YouTube. I suggest starting a different thread. You'll get better answers from the Slingshot riders who probably aren't looking in this one.
