I am tempted. It looks good. There is a store here where you can test a setup for a small fee. Upon purchase, this fee is deducted from the sales price. The salesman also thinks along and recommends a custom composition, which best suits my foil style.

I've not tried the UCS system but I do have an SLX 665 fw, which was briefly available for the Evo fuselages. It's certainly very different from the previous 650 front wings and does seem to be an improvement. I would have liked to get hold of some more SLX wings in the smaller sizes but I don't think they made many for the Evo fuselages before switching to the UCS.

Yesterday i tried a starboard ucs freerace setup.
this setup contained:
900 e-type pro frontwing.
99cm fuselage
alu v8 mast
180cm2 backwing

Coming from a starboard superflyer, this was truly next level.

it needed a bit more speed to get up on the foil.
but when it does it exelerates very nicely.
the glide of these wings is super smooth.

flying thru gibes it does not loose speed and therefor the lift does not change much.
(With the superflyer i had to increase frontfoot preasure quite a bit to keep the foil down.)

the standard freerace setup comes with a 330 backwing.
As i told Marco from windfoilen.nl i wanted the ideal combo of speed and freeriding, he advised me to try the 180 backwing.
and he was spot on.
i did try the 330, but it made the foil to locked in.

What i also noticed was how stiff the ucs system is compared to previous strarboard systems.
on higher speeds there was a light resonation in the foil wich resulted in my board making a light howling sound.
resonation isn't prefered offcourse but feeling and hearing it in my board it tells me everything is super stiff and well connected.

Sadly i could not push for speed due to big bundles of weeds in the water.
But i could feel the potential.
