Impressive that Christina Larsen made a semis. If anyone still thinks that foil sails have to have tight leaches, take a look at Johan's sail mid jibe at @1:21

Day 2 had some thrills and spills plus a young 70 kg guy who did admirably well.

If they crash they go down hard! They are not as strict as the PWA on material rules, and allow weighted vests.
I think this is quite okay, it helps the lighter riders to be more competitive.

....yes, except that Peyton (70kg) didn't wear a weight vest and still did very well, often giving some of the PWA riders a run for their money. great to see. somewhat counterintuitively Sem said to Ben that he thought the weight (and height) benefit *diminishes* with the wind strength....

As a lightweight I'm happy for him and, at the same time, depressed for myself. I guess I should use this as inspiration or just realize someone at that age is much more willing to commit despite the potential for mayhem.

These guys pushed hard with some inevitable crashes. Crazy how many were hitting mid 30 top speeds.

So I was watching the EPWT and thinking about the prolific use of weights and the insane crashes. The image of Johh Soukos looks to have weights over thigh so this made me think if adding weight is the goal no need to limit impact vests to light weight foam anymore.

Could also help for PWA slalom-X
