I'm considering updating my Ezzy hydra sport sails to the Ezzy cross sails as my hydra,s are getting tired and bruised after a few years foiling. Has anyone done any comparisons between these foil sails? I mostly freeride foil with some freerace foiling, I'm happy to stick with Ezzy any advice and info on the comparison between sport and cross be appreciated.

Can't help you with those but have enjoyed using the EzzyTaka for free ride foiling.

One of the Tampa Bay crew has just replaced everything with Cross sails and loves them. I've tried his 6.7 and liked it pretty well. I can't compare it with the Hydra but compared with Sailworks Flyer and Severne Foilglide it seems to rig flatter with the draft further back (as you'd expect from a sail designed to work over a fin as well) but was very easy to sail - light, powerful and rotated smothly.

I think the Taka was developed into the hydra sport but not sure if the Cross is somewhat weaker on windfoil to accommodate fin.

Yep, the Take 4.7 is my all time favourite sail for foiling. I use the Ezzy Hydra pro, Hydra sport and other Ezzy's, I'll be replacing them with Taka'a as they slowly die.

I had quivers of both the Hydra V.1 and the latest Cross. I found the Cross to be superior in every way. More stable, easier to handle, and even more range than the Hydra. I used the Cross with a wide range of low to high aspect foils and they worked best with low and mid aspect. Ezzy quality impeccable as always.
