I'm looking for somewhere for a short winter sailing escape. Bribe Island was mentioned in this forum as a winter sailing location. It looks to me like the Southern end around Bongaree would have the clearest air in a SW. Can anyone advise good launching locations there & if they're deep enough for a foil?

Few times I've gone in a SW/Westerly I've launched from S Esplanade at Bongaree, in front of the seaside museum. I think some of the locals launch from the southern end. Plenty of depth to foil, just avoid the green marked area seems a bit shallow. You are in foiling depth in less than 10m off the beach, and there is grass rigging area and showers within 20m.

Yeah, it's a sweet foiling spot!
Locals launch at from the carpark at the end of S Esplanade.
We launch from the Seaside museum.
If launching from the Seaside museum, note that the beach is sandy for first 20m, then it's coffee rock for next 10m, then it drops off to very deep after that. Make sure to stop and flip the board over before going over the coffee rock when back coming in.
