Ive learnt the basics on a older Naish Hover 122 (can sustain balanced flights and foil for a few hrs), and now thinking of a board upgrade.
Also i find (although i have zero to compare) the 122 a bit "flighty" which i think is due to the thinner tail (i am 90kg + winter wetsuit - in Wales, UK)
I only want to use <6m sails (typically 5.8, 5,2) so i guess the obvious choice is the Wizard 125
Before i go down the Wizard 125 route - any other options i should consider for freeride set-up, that are known to work well with the i76 foil?
PSDo the Wing/SUP/Windfoil crossover boards (SkySup 6'11 or Naish crossover) compromise the wind foiling component?

The Wizard 125 and Infinity 76 combo rocks - heaps over here in WA.
Hard to beat in that size range

A few tried crossover boards but they didn't seem very happy.
Seems the foil mast position, footstrap setup and volume distribution is suboptimal for windfoiling.

I foiled a friends Naish 122 a few times and have over 500+ hours on the W125 (we are the same weight, actually I'm 89kg now as I've been on the Jane Fonda diet).
The Naish felt ok in winds over 15 knots for me but quite twitchy, I didn't particularly foil gybe it very well, but I also needed more time on it.
The Wizard 125 will blow you away! a night and day difference in all manners. Up hauling, schloging, swing weight, gybes, tacks and matches perfectly with infinity 76, 84, 99.
I have owned several other brands and tested many more and I refuse to part with my 2018 wizard as it's that good

At 90 kg, however, you might prefer the Wizard 150 over the 125 for those big Infinity wings.

At 93 kg, I use my i76 under an old formula board (160 liters), which I already had. The board is light, wide, and has enough volume to get sleepy on. The only downside is that I had to move the footstraps more inboard for freeride foiling.

I'm 90kg and the W125 is plenty unless you are chasing the lightest winds with bigger rigs (doesn't sound like it).
You may even prefer the FS115, my current non foil specific board has similar geometry (but longer nose and thinner tail) which I find works really well with sails <6m so long as really cranking upwind isn't the goal.

Yeah for a one board quiver you can't go wrong with the wizard 125, especially if you will windsurf when the wind picks up. If you are more interested in maximizing control for foiling when its windy you may want to consider the freestyle 115, but then you would lose some of the lightwind range. Of course you could add another board to the freestyle 115 for light wind eg levitator 150 and a bigger wing eg the infinity 99. This combo FS+76/Levi+99 will give you the most wind range

The Levitator 150 is very much like the Wizard 125 but a bit wider with more volume. It is a lot more stable and has a foil track underneath, which gives you a lot of adjustability to tune the placement of the foil. It is stable enough to learn how to use a wind wing, which is one of the reasons I traded in my 125 for it. I also have the SS FS115.

Am 85kg and typically ride a 7.3 o 5.3 on my Wizard 125, it's great. With the 7.3 it feels slalomy and with the 5.5 it is very playful and feels like a different board. If I didn't sail the 7.3 because of the lack of good wind here I would probably consider the 115 or smaller Wizard. I have not winged it yet,but anticipate it will be okay for learning despite the aft Tuttle box.

If you have a SS 76 foil, the tuttle box is optimally placed on the Wizard. If you are using a foil from a different supplier the tracks may be of value.

I'd get a FoilX 145 over the W125 if prices were the same, here it's opposite.
Another board to look at would be the Exocet FF132

Yes the 2021 Wizards are all changing. More volume, shorter lengths, thicker with twin tracks.

Yes the 2021 Wizards are all changing. More volume, shorter lengths, thicker with twin tracks.

What will hapen 2021 with the Wizards??Any information about ?
Round about same weight (180 cm / 89 kg)Have round 60 Sessions so 200 hrs on a Wizard 125 + i76.
Compared with an old JP Xcite Ride 120 (260 * 69) and also with a Falcon 135.

The wizard is NOT a Lightwind weapon....but the range of this ONE Board is unbelievable !
And also for light winds usable when also not the first board that will fly. Out of my opinion.
I have a one board solution with sails from 6,9 - 4,0.

Feeling is crazy fun on that short board. Just after the first rides you can use it and with a bit of patience with uphauling the sail you can also start with it. The learning curve is super and you can use it for light wind and strong wind, for flatwater (as me on a little lake) and I'm sure on the sea it's a great board as well.
As stated: For me the perfect one Board solution with now two Wings (i76 + I65) with Windrange from 9 - 35 knots (more we hadn't until now since I do foiling)
The 2020 is better as the 2019.

But what will come up in 2021?? Big Question...also waiting for the phantasm Line....

The wizard 125 is hard to beat as a one board quiver. I have changed to the rrd pocket rocket and love it. Either one is great. The wizard is not heavy, the older blue and green ones were but not the red and orange ones.
the pocket rocket is heavier but in reality the weight difference has no effect.
pound for pound, I would by the rrd as it's massively cheaper here in the uk.

I'm in the same position where I'm on a hybrid foil board at moment and can get short but sustained flights with my ss76 and now want progress on to dedicated foil board .
I have the 125 W and 125 stingray on my focus the stingray is quite a lot cheaper than the wizard but long term as my skills improve the more expensive wizard is maybe the way to go from some of the feedback.

Hi North!

I would throw in the Horse Tiny. It is a great platform for Freefoiling with smaller sails. You can choose between outward and center position for the rear strap. It is short and not too wide.

If there is a chance to test-ride: the latest JP foil-board the Freefoil???? looks sensational to me. Inward strap-position, damn long US-Boxes to get every foil to the right position (and probably possible to wing foil).
