Unable to find an 80cm fuselage to use wind foiling I have tried some shimming on my 70cm fuse to good effect. After moving my foil fully forward and all my deck kit back (Mast and foot straps) I was still finding I needed a lot of back foot pressure to keep flying which was draining and unstable. Ive played with adding a shim to increase negative pitch from 1? to 2? and its made a huge difference.

Anyone else tried with success?

The original Armstrong set up had titanium shims. It is possible to get these but you may need to sand it down to fit. The recommendations were shown below (the angles for the shimming used for Armstrong is different than SB or F4 set up) If you want lift, -2 is used for Armstrong but this is the opposite for SB IQfoil i.e. if you want lift, +1 shim used for IQfoil.

-2 Degree: For learning, larger boards/people and windsurf freeride. Tail has more downforce giving front wing more lift at lower speeds and better Yaw (directional) stability.

Zero Degree: is best with the CF800 wing at higher speeds kiting or tow surfing and good all around with the CF1200 and CF1600 wings.

+1 Degree: For more top end speed control on all wings and better pump for advanced riders looking to maximise glide and to Down Wind Foil. During a drop or speed spike the +1 helps keep the wing in the water and adds control during turns.
