some swell to play in, just wish it piped up more often

Saturday was gusting peaks of 39 mph (34 knots) and Sunday the wind swung a 180 degrees from the North and gusts of 18 mph (around 16 knots), a bit cooler but beautiful sunshine.

Day one riders were on 3.7 to 4.0 sails and the Time Code 68 wings
Day two we used 5.0 to 6.0 sails and mixture of infinity 76 and 84 wings

Wow, that's some serious wind for a lake! Core, how do you like the new W130 vs. your old W125 in the higher winds??

Wow, that's some serious wind for a lake! Core, how do you like the new W130 vs. your old W125 in the higher winds??

The W130 definitely has the advantage in higher winds over the W125 in my opinion.

Less swing weight and more positive feedback from the foil, so transitions seem quicker and more crisp.

If people are looking at the W130 and wondering how it performs in high winds, there is no doubt in my mind it works extremely well.

I could never seem to get the i76 to dial in very well on the W125 and so rarely used that wing, but now with the W130 its game on again

Awesome vid Dean, I think all freeride foilers will eventually realise that wind over 25 knots is superfun

Cheers JJ... and I 1000% agree foiling gets truly radical the windier it gets.

One of the local guys went out on his windsurf kit and came in after 30 mins looking pretty tired, bolted on the foil and had a blast.

Very nice, good looking transitions. How cold is that water?

Definitely agree on the fatigue thing, esp with the freeride wings/smaller sails. Sunday I rode my infinity 76 with 6.0 flyer on my sled, then as the wind picked up I switched to wizard 114 and warpspeed 65, but still on the 6.0. The later fun but much more tiring.

Water temp is around 62 degF. In a few months it will be 42

Think I have lost all of my windsurfing muscle memory, my arms got blown out the last time I sailed in 30+ But with foiling I can sail for hours, upwind, down wind, in the swells etc.

add in winging and my windsurfing days are done unless I take a trip to a wave sailing location?

No more windsurfing for me -- all wind foiling and wing foiling this past summer and from now on. I last wing foiled on November 11th. Today the high was -3 degrees C. I'm done for the year so please keep the videos coming.
