Great perspective, I really like the follow me view.

Simon, the wind looks to be cross on and the swell is also at an angle to the beach, so when you maneuver from bottom turn to cut back, do you turn past the wind. If so, how do you stop being backwinded.

I'm going to go out on a limb here....
If you're willing to give windfoul a chance and Hunter through the hard punches at it delivers in the learning curve you will be able to prosper from being the man on the water.

The reason wingers are dime a dozen as it's easy just as kiteboarding was easy back in the day.
The people love to follow the mass machine media whatever they tell him they will digest and winging is it with high aspect wings.
Something I've noticed here in Baja the wingers have two angles pointing up wind or going directly downwind pumping there is no in between because the slalom type high aspect wings they Ride don't allow that but they're drinking the Kool-Aid.

Bear with me if the grammar is not correct as I'm out in the desert getting drunk as a bonfire.

That video of BC the other day in 30 knots that's what the foiling is about full throttle hooked in driving that thing.



I know my opinion doesn't matter to anybody here but I love to State it ride it like you stole it don't let anybody ever cut you off.
Wingers are the worst when it comes to rules of the road trust me I have a one strike rule and I let them have it after that.

John340, I bet there is hardly any pressure when/if he gets backwinded. He is flying downwind with all the speed from surfing the wave so apparent wind is going to be light. We can get conditions like these here and I have been visualizing using that exact moment to lay into a 360 and loop into the wave behind. Not that I can 360 yet but Dream big right!

Great video of mr smooth. I just got a North wave sail 4.2, but i need a softer mast I think. It takes a lot of downhaul for the battens to clear the mast but then it takes a lot of wind to inflate the luff. Could be I'm too little. It is crazy light weight though. Still tuning....

The following view is great and these videos always get me pumped for when I get to ride swells again.

Yea I have a 4.2 North white one only have used it once ,rigged it on a a 370 ezzy and really did not look right on the beach but once on the water and loaded with wind perfect.Also bought the north extension my chinook just did not work that well with the loop n go on the North.My 3.7 I rigg with a Naish 90%340 works great.

Matt, I rig my 4.2 on a Naish 370, which is a medium mast. I don't worry about the battens clearing the mast. I set for the leach. Tighter leach for 15kts, looser as the wind increases. Downhaul range from tight to loose leach is 3 to 4 clicks on my Duotone Power XT extension.
