Can someone educate me on the benefits of the + Fuselage designs.

It seems most designs are moving their mast further back from the front foil.

Front wing further forward provides more lift, without having to put a high angle of attack on the stabilizer, thus reducing drag.

well, i believe thats the thinking. I could be wrong...

Subsonic is exactly right. By moving the frontwing forward you can increase the foils power, without having to increase its lift. Therefore the foil delivers higher up/down performance, earlier flight etc, without an increase of drag. The thing which doesnt change much (if at all) by moving the front wing forward is stall speed, thats why one might opt for a slingshot I84 instead if one wants to unlock that extra light wind potential. The usable range in terms of wind is similar, even with similar sails, but the smaller wing further forward delivers it with a higher minimum and maximum speed than the bigger wing further back.
