Subsonic is exactly right. By moving the frontwing forward you can increase the foils power, without having to increase its lift. Therefore the foil delivers higher up/down performance, earlier flight etc, without an increase of drag. The thing which doesnt change much (if at all) by moving the front wing forward is stall speed, thats why one might opt for a slingshot I84 instead if one wants to unlock that extra light wind potential. The usable range in terms of wind is similar, even with similar sails, but the smaller wing further forward delivers it with a higher minimum and maximum speed than the bigger wing further back.
