I have always just rinsed in a bucket of clean water after saltwater use.
I acquired a drysuit that has a cigarette smell .
Baby shampoo ? dilute vinegar with mouth wash ?

Get Sagrotan for desinfection.

Contact the company that made it, is it gortex or eVent fabric? Diluted white vinegar and/or baking soda should work.

If you would decide to get an ozone (O3) treatment for you car (takes about 8 hours, depending size/volume); leave you suit inside and your car and suit are odor (and bacteria) free!

The thing to be careful about in cleaning it is the taped seams, they are usually glued on, do not want to use something that weakens the bond between the tape and seam.

I have washed mine with everything from dial bar soap to Ivory dish soap in a bathtub and hang it in a dark, cool area. The colder the better since heat encourages bacteria growth.
It's worked for years no issues. I don't remember ever going more than 3 sessions without washing.
It was recommended I dust 100% talcum powder on the seals of my dry suit if storing for extended periods.

Unrelated but very important to keep the seals away from sunscreens and bug spray unless you like replacing them yearly.

I imagine this would work with other odours..A few cupfuls in warm water ,soak 15 mins then dry in the shade. No need to rinse..
