i'm looking for a new all round general purpose surfboard for knee high to just o/h waves in WA.
i'm use to riding a 6'6" daLewy, which i'm real happy with, for paddling and turns etc. but its getting time to retire it
i'm 6'4" and 77kg, so my short board is generally much longer than normal.

was looking at a 6'5" Channel Island Cheesestick (yadin nicol model) has anyone used one of these and how are they for paddling?

Why dont you just get another daLewy? Was it a custom?

sort of custom, similar to his standard 6'6" shortboard, but just juiced up a bit.

where is Dave? ? cant locate him
the 6'6" dalewy in the shops now is really chunky, so suited to heavier surfers.

gee, they sure have wacky names for boards these days.. I have a mate who has a 64 or 66 round tail da lewy couple of years old but hardly ridden, I think its for sale. Will find out details and let you know if it is

After the last three days down south, I am definitely getting the same da lewy board again if possible . basically just suits my height and waves I like. It just likes rail carves, wiggly fat sections, walls, barrels, tail sliding lip sections.

From head to head and a half walling reef break to waist to shoulder high beach break to pitching waist to head reef break it did it all. . The body just couldn't keep up.
