I like to watch the comp surfing but the commentary is terrible. I wonder if it would improve if some one threw them a jab a Vaseline

Wassell's not my cup of tea, I'm more of an Occy kind of guy.
Variety is the spice of life though.

Generally I don't like commentating either, nothing worse than people describing what you can see with your own eyes. Its cool hearing guys like Potz throw in a little story or old school comparison though. Dunno if they are or not, I really don't follow Pro surfing much to be honest. But I reckon all commentators should be guys who have spent a few years on circuit themselves. Not guys who are there coz they're known for talking sh1t up & never shut up. Few patches of quiet without guys talking over the top of each other would be good imo Just pan out to some hotties on the beach in between sets or somthing
