In over 40 years of surfing and more than 20 boards I must confess to being lucky enough to having never snapped a board...plenty of dings and stress fractures.

Went out at Wanda this afternoon, and tho the wind was up, had my best surf in almost a year...the left was firing down the line and nearly every wave was 5 or 6 moves as opposed to 2 or only 3 on most other days.

Returned from the surf so stoked, waiting for my 7 YO to come in from her class...only to see her 6 week old pride and joy snapped...Apparently first wave paddling out she got hit by a big shorey trying to duck dive....she was sooo upset. But what can you do...Sh&t happens! ....anyway have ordered her a cheap ECS off EBAY as couldnt afford another $750 custom job.

Maybe can get it fixed but it will never be the same..we sat down and designed it all together from the colours, the decals and the size etc. Has her first comp on in about 3 weeks too. Couldn't happen at the worst time. Thanks Huey!

a good repaier can easily fix that, and a seven year old probably wouldn't notice the diff IMO

yep - thats a nice clean break - will make life very easy for the repair person. I would think she would not notice too much difference unless its the colour match or she is the next Steph!!

Good luck.

Glad you got some good ones today - it was pumping!

You have been lucky! I've snapped every old board I've owned except a Rick Jacko Alloy Joy I've had for almost 20 years : )

And on amother point she should love the ECS. I got a bulldog about a month ago and love it.
