I am in the process of working towards a new shooter and am casting the eye a bit further than usually would. Have it down to a couple of options however one of the shapers I don't have any experience with.

Browsing the internet and a few second hand racks I really like the look of some of the Outer Island boards. I am looking for a daily rider (NSW/Qld border area) that will also handle the bigger days and trips away - thinking around 7' (I am a reasonable size unit and the wrong side of 50). On the website the Moonraker particularly caught my attention.

Would be most interested to hear if anyone has ridden one or has recent personal experience with Outer Island.

thanks

Smooth looking boards alright. I had a 6;5 moonraker went like a Cadillac, super smooth and very fast just too much volume for me. have seen some beautiful boards from outer islands with the spirit eyes...go for it I reckon give Mick a call

I have a 6'10" coral reefer for the bigger days and it goes like a dream. Heavy glass job and very stable under foot. Flies down the line and you can still do some nice turns on it. Big fan.

Thanks fellas for the photos and feedback. Ted those nice clean lines are what got my attention in the first place. I reckon surfboards are a lot like boats - some guys just know how to put beauty and function together. Cheers
