would the connection loosen up over time if you were constantly changing fins?

that would be my concern. although i like how they sit flush

The pin is a titanium rod with a bearing placed on it.

At Surf Expo they had a fin set that had been snapped in and out 6000 times. Still snug as a bug, super tight.

This system is insane!

Personally screwing in a screw or 2 doesn't bother me & I still think futures are better. Would have to be handy if you were travelling & staying in each place for a short time though.

Could this mean less damaged fin plugs?

Just loose the fin instead?

It won't really be possible to say that any more, when you see the system you will understand. This system has all of of the good points of Futures with so much more. This includes being easier to install, lower footprint in the board allowing tail flex etc.

I like Futures but this is better than anything I have seen before.

you can still screw in the fins for extra lock if you want looks like they have used a combination of futures with a stronger anchoring lug at the front ,with speed fins snap in roller in the rear but much stronger ,the base is made with a honeycomb composite ,so it will laminate yet still flex with the board better than most systems, cant wait to try it out

Any chance they will get off there ****ing high horse and sell the system (i.e plugs, jigs etc) to the backyard guys in Australia...or will we be forced to buy directly from the US and get shafted on the price or use a different fin system?

Hi, just saw this new fin system and was wondering if it is possible to buy the new fins to be put into the original FCS system. I have 8 boards with many fins but really would like a set for Indo. Can they screw into old system ?

Looks great, stoked to see FCS fighting back against the increasing dominance of Futures fins. I'm sick of Futures fins wobbling in the box, their crap shapes which are all so similar and expensive fins.

Also looks to me like the new FCS fins will fit in the old boxes - just have to cut the end of the tabs.

good pointI cant remember who, but I think there maybe a plug coming out this year that takes the current fcs fins and futures

I'm guessing the FCS2 fins must be pretty close to being released, as Clearwater Surf are advertising all their current FCS fin stock at half price!
