Back then smack was everywhere, he got pretty involved to the point of being a full on junkie and doing burgs, etc to feed the habit. As a result he did gaol time and eventually died from the evil #hit.

It's druggo slang for Cheese burgers, he used to break in to Maccas and steal them.
