It would be good to know if tax payers are paying for uni students surfboards.
True, I guess it's fair to be concerned about the enormous hole a few hundred dollars would dent our billion $ deficits.
If you are going to say something and ask for help ,dont be a prick when someone asks a simple question ...it might make some people not want to help you
I think if i had of outright said "Yes" then that might also make some people not help me.. catch 22 right there. I'm glad I had the opportunity to completely dilute any potential outbursts or whining from disgruntled tax payers (like myself (yes some uni students also work full time)). To answer your question OzSurf, not a direct grant from the state but from UWA (which is a public uni) so i guess that falls under tax payers money. I may also add that I have to buy the boards out of my own money first and then apply for a grant next year, which carries the risk of it not being approved. Oh and I may also add that the majority of members are exchange students, it's possible that by doing this it will have a larger positive impact on the tourism industry when compared to the catastrophic negative impact on tax payers money.
