2nd that although the sizes are big and they are fairly stretchy
medium if you normally wear large and large if you normally wear an XL
on the 3/2
i assume the fit is the same for 4/3
had never owned anything except a back zip before and now probably wouldn't go back
had mine around 6 months and it has loosened up a bit but it got a workout
be interested to see how long i get out of it although for the price
you can afford to re-new them every season under $200 delivered

Going by the size variations Prawnhead, I would need a medium which isn't in stock

Anyone else had any experience with using "Need" Wettie's

175 $ to door is cheap ??

I normally grab my stuff form Murray Surf Store in Ozzy Park. Think they sell last seasons stock so you can generally grab a decent wetty for a good price. If you're a regular enough even the odd extra discount gets thrown in as good will.

Traditional branded suits from Wetsuitwarehouse or even Surfstitch can be easy to use, but maybe still not the cheapest. If they are on special you'll save a bundle.

Also the Warehouse surf store in Osy Park often has a good selection

I got the impression that from speaking on the phone to them that they were ex big brand employees who have gone straight to the factory!
Maybe their demand has outstripped supply !they have been getting a few mentions in various other forums online!
You must be a better man than me SD! 3/2 in Vic winter! I wouldn't even put my toe in the water down there without a 4/3 and a hood ,....I am a warm water, hula girls and banana daiquiri's man!

The go is to get onto need in january,I bought a 3/2 $175 delivered seems to be well made ,comfy although size is slightly larger as others mentioned, mainly bought it as a back up to my E Bomb for 2nd surfs and kiting so should fit the bill nicely, such a bargain and don't need logos, labels and colours as i prefer all black wetties anyway.

Yeah thanks Richardo, unfortunately I'll be needing one before then.
Kingofwatersports look good but the geographically available brands aren't available on the cheap to us suckers!

Anyone know where to buy West wetsuits? I understand they're only available in the US, but surely that means you can get them online too? Chasing a 3/2 GBS Enforcer.

blught the Ripcurl zipper less F Bomb and absolutely love it, best suit I have ever worn, went for the 3/2 and was plenty warm enough in California's chilly waters as well as Perth, prob due to the sheep lining, dries quick too and no water flush from the neck

Did you happen to get it online.... and at a "fair price". Great suits, no doubt....but I never seem to see them discounted from their $500+ price tag!

Looks like they are back in stock - 2015 sizes reflect other brand sizes ? Thought I'd give one of these a go - 3/2 steamer

my repairs on the old xcel are giving me too much neck rash now, a bodged job though

I nabbed a new xcel wetty from them last year during the same sale. No dramas with MS, not sure if it's worth it now however with our low AUD.

As for xcel wetties, I won't be buying any other brand for quite a while. Best fitting wetty I have ever had and last longer than my past few rip curl and Oneil wetties.

I think the star surf warehouse on Scarb beach rd in Ozzie park has them? Might be a good price too, I think I saw something about them giving them away if you bought a board.

Have purchased from www.dextersurf.com.au in the past.

After reading about Need have ordered a suit. Hopefully it will be here for the Easter weekend.
they have sold out of a lot of sizes already though.

i got a need 4/3 in large. Great suit. Only issue is the neck being too loose and it lets too much water in. Might just not suit me properly as I'm fairly short. Anyone know a remedy to this? beyond selling the thing.

Got my Need suit in the mail today. Seems a bit small in the shoulders. My shoulders still feel squeezed an hour after trying it on. For the second time today just to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
Looks like a good suit though. A bit of a mission to get in and out of. Don't see myself needing it for a while yet, but by buggery, I'm keen to get out in anything!

YOu had it wet though? Always loosens up when wet, and I have always felt, with regular use, they DO stretch somewhat over time. As for getting in an out of a front zip wettie... when they first came out.. I struggled big time, but nowadays... even using a size smaller than I used to... I find it second nature. Sorry.. if this is not news to you.. but I do know those that have only ever used back zips. Have patience - the cooler weather and waters will come soon enough! :D

Yep, you're partially correct, it was better in the water, but still tight in the shoulders. Been in chest zips for a while too, but this is the first that the zip doesn't come apart so is tricky/painful.
Bloody warm though. I won't be needing it till mid winter and trips to my old local.
