Whats the water temperature like down there guys? Be down in a few weeks and have a leaky 3/2 and a wetty top. Would wearing both suffice or am I looking at a 4/3 or even worse; a 5/4? Not too keen on thick wetsuits and enjoy the cold.

You will be fine. Later in the year you probably want a 4/3 although a good sealed 3/2 will suffice. Mornings can be brisk but the water is still pretty warm at this time of year.

For surf spots check fanny cove if you have a 4x4 or kelp beds beach (sorry just like upsetting Esperance locals ha ha)
In terms of what wetsuit, I'd make sure you have one with steel mesh

You'll be fine in a 3/2. Water temp around 17 'c

heaps and heaps of sharks this time of year they'll be well fed on Salmon though, as long as you don't look like a seal you'll be right.

Bring heaps of mates with ya!
