yeah mate, i think they are looking at where to bulk the board up instead of the whole board being pumped up.

My new Tokoro 6,7 looks thin up front but it isnt and it paddles like a train!!

That 7S looked similar in the rails and deck, do you really think you will need a 7,6 for Indo? I recon see how you go on the 7,2 and then make your choice.

When I was in the Ments my 6,5 got a massive workout and I had a 6,8 with me as well that really I could have left at home.

all the info the better, my mate that owns the shop is saying weiry don't cancel out the 8'WHF. he dead set swears the 8' is a brilliant board and a guy took one over indo and carved it, i'm thinking the 7'6" will be nice for the cyclone season here.

hey chrispy get f****D, 100 on a good day

hey Doggie i had the perfect board before i got sick,a 6'8" carbon board, took it out last Friday and sadly haven't been able to shift the weight "f***N steroids", so i must go the bigger board without pumping up the vol, i just figure when it gets bigger i wont be popping out, and that's happened in the past with those type of board designs. or its me

Arkgee shapes and rides some longer sticks for Indo and I don't think he's that big a unit ( certainly not a lardarse like you Weiry!), might be worth having a chat...

I'm just big boned.

Don't ya hate it when people say that? My ex wife used to try and pull that card, I always felt like saying "Fark off you look like a wobbly turnip on legs"

Could be why she's my ex wife.

What do people think of 7s boards? Hear they had a bad rep in the past but are cleaning up their act.
Anyone have any first hand experience, not just rumours and chinese whispers?

I think in the early days they were a bit fragile but I've ridden a couple now and the hold up like most boards. You are paying proper retail eg $700+ for them now so the on the upper end of the scale price wise depending on construction as well.

I had a 6'3" one of theirs for a while and loved it....it took a lot of abuse over a few yrs. I really liked their step-rail concept. The board was pretty light-weight and I kept having to fix the tail as any knock would split it. The rest of the board was fine and held up well. I would still have it if I had not snapped it one day duck diving and hitting a shallow sand bank - more user error than the boards fault I reckon. I would give them a big tick. In terms of construction I would suggest that it was made better than my Al Merrick POD.

i picked up the 7'6" on Sunday mate, only a small wave on the point with 18 out so i passed + i had a thumping headache after a big one at a mates B/party, who was sitting on a wall when a guy gave him a hug, they both fell and now he's sporting a broken collarbone.
im thinking a virginal surf in Sumatra or sacrifice it there, hey the boys that own the house over there said one day it was that big 30 boards got broken

Sounds like a good party...

As for the 30 boards, wouldnt have been one of mine, id be drinking bintangs and getting a massage.. sounds like it might be a bit heavy, sure the extra length of the 7'6 will help. how long to you go, you must be super keen?
