Water is cold and the boards available to use are trashed.

I went in December 2019, just before covid.
Did the night session, and had a ball. Arrived with my towel. hired board and wetty, which were in good nick at the time. The wave is fun, without being challenging. There is no hassling, as it is just a line to the take off spot. Got plenty of waves, but you paddle a bit.

Went pre covid, it is awesome, especially coming from Perth where our waves are garbage
2 hour surf at urbnsurf better than a whole year in Perth

Spent a fair bit of time there when it first opened, surprising amount of power and water movement for a small wave! Started on the advanced session and struggled but got the feel for it second time round and so on. Takes some time to work out positioning and water movement. If you use your own board, take an old ****ter as your board will either hit the wall or bottom at some stage! Lots of paddling but lots of fun!! Sit about 1 m wide of the wall on the red line red line and you'll make your waves no probs.
